Great composition and eye-popping color! Great tones in the white part of the waves reveals great detail. Viewing the image at the largest size in the Lytebox is a must. Check out the masking issue where the dark building in the top right area meets the sky; it creates a white line that doesn't appear to be a sharpening halo.

Nicely composed and executed image. As Mike said looks even better viewed large. Interesting looking bit of coastline. Nicely done.

I love those waves. Nice composition and colors John If the image was mine I would reduce the impact of the sky a bit as the clouds compete with the waves .

If the image was mine, I would crop at the top to eliminate the clouds. The result would be more of a panoramic style.

Those diffused clouds,, patterns of waves, green meadow and the brick red dome ..all together make this image really attractive

John, its a beautiful image to look at, very well executed and great composition. If it were mine I would leave it alone.

    Hi Maurice,

Thanks for the comments, for now I am satisfied with just looking at it and remembering why I took the shot.

It is what it is John - and I do like it.

Unfortunately, because I'm more technical than artistic, if it were mine, I'd level the horizon and arrange, by fair means or foul*, not to have bright white areas of various clouds 'sliced' by the edge of the frame - but that's just me.

    * cropping, burning, cloning; in combination

    Cheers, Dave

Now that you're making all those wonderful photos of your granddaughter, don't tell her that.
