The evening the barbecue exploded
I looked out of my window one afternoon and saw the neighbour's house across the road lit up in a red/pink glow so went out to see what was causing it. Looking back over my place this is what I saw. My widest angle lens at the time was 15mm on a crop frame (=24mm full frame) so I had to take two shots and stitch them as a panorama to get the full view.

Re: The evening the barbecue exploded
Great capture Graham.
It reminds me of when we owner-built our first house at Bracken Ridge. While we were building we lived in a caravan on the land. I made an outdoor shower out of a 40 Gallon drum with a coil of copper pipe inside it. We filled the drum with pine cones and when well alight turned the water tap on for a nice hot shower. One day something blocked the shower head and it resulted in a cloud of super heated steam similar to your photo when the pressure got too much for the pipe.

A fair number of us have neighbors like that to deal with.
