A great moment, Dave. Well done! Perhaps the simplicity of a monochrome would sort of direct the eye toward the pair on the right. The harsh light might also look more appealing or at least less problematic.

A nice moment captured, Dave. With wildlife the lighting is what it is when things happen. Selectively lowering luminosity on the blue/aqua channels might be a slight improvement.
