    Nature has a habit of going where it will, and growing where it wants. When we bought a house the previous owner had planted trees so close to the house that they blocked the windows from opening and were pushing up into the eves. I cut off the tree to a stump, and with a mighty swing I clove the stump in two - in the process of which I severed a water pipe around which the tree had grown!

    Les, don't know why there is a bit out of of focus/lack of sharpness in some of images you recently posted; which mode are you shooting?

    With this one i was out with a 75-300mm and i stood quite close to the tree i did notice the lower part of the tree i can only put it down to the angles

    I think you'll find it has focused on the contrasty twigs behind, they are all sharp(ish), unfortunately; the tree and fence, being somewhat closer, were too far outside the DoF
