    The only difference in the last two is the saturation level ... which is of course really just a "personal taste" thing; the last version is somewhat under-stated, whereas the one before that would have looked great on a metallic paper, all framed and ready to hang. And to be honest, either of them still looked OK as a grayscale.

    In fact, that's a trick I sometimes use when trying to get an image to "resonate" on a number of levels ... chuck on a HSB layer - zero the saturation - and then get the image looking good as a grayscale before re-introducing the colour (and then getting the colour looking good) - so in the end you get both good levels in their own right, and good colour

    Now that is more like our great British lighting. Love the burnished effect on the water and much more subtle than post No 15.
