    End of 2016--Pinnacles National Park

All year long you all have kindly commented on my 52 week challenge, which was to improve my Photoshop skills. To that end I have worked with photos that seemed to me to need some help. To end the year I would like to share some photos taken on our November trip, photos that needed very little help (in my opinion), and represent my capture skills as opposed to my Photoshop skills. Next year I plan to do the 52 week challenge again, this time focusing on capture skills in a variety of situations. I hope you will continue to provide me with comments that help me learn and grow!

Don't have the knowledge to pass on any advice but I do like your images.

Hi Judith, the last image is my fav in this set I can see very dark shadows in #3, did you add too much clarity in post?

Yes the last image is good; although the others have more impact when viewed with the Lightbox alternative view.

I also wonder a bit about other options for #3. Maybe this is going too far but for me the right side tree is adding more distraction than it is adding to the overall composition and the bottom right corner is considerably out of focus. So I wonder about a crop from the right side to reduce that tree by around half, or to completely remove it?

That would seem to concentrate more on the main, and better focused, areas.

Alternatively, a slight crop from the bottom to remove the out of focus foreground?

All look good when viewed with the Lightbox, however each looks a bit soft when viewed full size. These are definitely images that need your control on how closely they can be viewed. My favorite is the 3rd image, looks like another world.

Beautiful images all. #4 is my fave. Re #3; The green looks very prominent. Intentional or is this just how dramatic they were?

My favorite is #1; i love those greens which merge and keep distinctions at the same time; the last one get's its credit all because of those red flowers at the corner
