Presenting his/her best side.
Black Headed Gulls are a bit commonplace as birds go, around here at least, but C&C welcome all the same.

Re: Presenting his/her best side.
I've never seen any of those here in N. Ontario. Too far north I guess. Nice sharp image John.

Very neat image with a good BG. And a beautiful bird. I like the title

Re: Presenting his/her best side.
Quite a lot of dark head colour there. Was this from the summer or a bird which has mistimed the season?
This image nicely demonstrates that the black head area is actually a very dark brown.

Re: Presenting his/her best side.
A real nice image, with an unusual view of back to front of the bird. It works well for me.

Re: Presenting his/her best side.
I tend to favor birds looking back like this. Dorsal feather are typically more interesting than the breast. Nice clean BG. I'm not on a decent monitor so can't say much about technical aspects.

Re: Presenting his/her best side.
Thanks all for the comments.
Geoff, there you go. Until I saw your comment, I thought "Black Headed" gulls always have black heads. Now I know that it depends on the season. I hadn't bothered to look them up because they are pretty common in the UK. I did check the exif and it was taken at the end of April.
William ..
Dan.........in that case - it's technically brilliant.
