I looked out my patio door and saw Holly, my Goldendoodle, sitting and surveying her yard...

Thankfully, we have had lots of rain in December which makes everything green. It looks like we will be getting some more this month. Hopefully, our drought might be over

Holly was in the shade of my patio cover and fill flash worked quite well to balance her with the background...

Thanks on both counts. I am prejudiced but, even after nine years, I get awestruck when I see Holly walking or running. Her topline is absolutely straight and with her long poodle-like legs, she moves very gracefully!

Thanks Maurice and Sergio. Holly is a very photogenic dog and has been since she was a young puppy...

This is Holly at ten and a half weeks old. She weighed 16 pounds then and now, at nine years old, weighs 55 pounds!



BTW... This shot was done with my first DSLR: Canon EOS 10D with an EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Although I no longer own the 10D, I still have the 28-135mm IS lens and it still functions well on a crop camera but, leaves a bit to be desired on a full frame camera...
