Thanks John. there was a lot of water the driller said he hadn't seen that much water in a long time.
He certainly looks to be concentrating on the job at hand. IMO the color works better in this situation. The guy disappears into the BG in the B/W.
I have a predisposition to favouring B&W, Mark .............. but, in this instance prefer the colour, Best wishes!
Mark, a well captured image of someone hard at work. Every day people put a large part of their life into work, and we hardly take notice.

Like them both but, the color works better for me!
It's interesting that in colour the driller's suite really pops and he stand out very well, yet in B&W he seems to disappear into the background as his tonal characteristics are similar to the area. I have seen the same phenomenon for hunters' DPMs which are quite a bright orange colour, yet to their prey, who assumedly see in monochrome will just see the broken pattern.
Give it a try, if it don't work, nothing lost. Colour for me but not by much.
