I'm afraid I won't be participating this month. Our TEA Party rally is October 2 and we have a very important election coming up the first of November. Deer season runs the 16th through 28th and I'll be down in the river bottom all that time. I might post a picture or so during the month, if that is allowed, but there is no way I'll be able to get one a day. I'll be lucky to get one a week to use in my class.

Do I jump in at the deep end? I'm tempted but it's a bit scary.
Only some...there are sharks and crocs out there too you know!
OK - I've read through everyone's comments now and I'm in too. Looks like we all feel the same way about exposing ourselves on a daily basis.
I might be a bit slow posting some days when I don't have computer access but I promise to catch up.
I'm in too! I missed it last time. (Can't say I recall what I was doing though...)
Colin,
I have set up an Album for the PAD. One question. Do I need to post the images twice - once in the PAD and once in the Album or can I post to the album and link to the PAD?
Thanks Colin, Friday will tell if I got it.
Hi folks, just a quick heads up to let you know that the great October PAD has started here.
OK. I just made it today. I was busy repairing a house gutter. The shot is of the last of the light in mid-Iowa (Ames to be precise).

Just wanted to ask a 'point of order' question about timing.
Processing a quantity of images before selecting a suitable entry can take a bit of time. So is it OK to backdate an entry and post it a day late but in the day of shooting category?
ie Take a photo on Friday but don't process it until Saturday. Then enter it into the Friday post (day of shooting).

I took someone's advice and started a new gallery ( https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/fo...hp?albumid=430 ) since I don't yet know how to put the picture in the post as some seem to be doing. Maybe I'll have to start a gallery on Pbase and reference that in a post. How would that be do you think?
Stan
Hi Stan,
Either method is fine by us - I do mine in PBase because it allows me to use bigger than 700 px images.
If you want some help with putting an album picture into a post, have a read of this from step 14 onwards.

UPDATE:
I saw your post in Day 2 and have put the images inline for both Days in the right threads, good luck with Day 3 but let me know if you hit any problems.
Cheers,

Hi Geoff,
Just to add a bit to Dave's reply ...
What I'm really trying to do here is just get people shooting everyday (more or less) for a month in the hope that the daily skill use will help them "lift their game". The actual timing really isn't important - in fact, if people end up shooting a couple of un-related things on the same day and want to post them as their effort for a couple of days then that's fine too (which is what I'll be doing for today) - the only thing I don't really want to see is someone taking 31 shots over a couple of days (or essentially the same thing) and then "drip feeding" them for the rest of the month.
Hi Stan,
Another vote for pBase
If you're serious about digital photography then ultimately, a gallery here probably won't serve you well as both space and sizes are limited. Personally, I just cough up the few $$$ each year and enjoy the 700MB that's mine to do with as I wish.
I am sorry people but I will not participate because I am too busy and having some problems...
