Hi Rita, almost. I was thinking of just a tiny bit more shaved off the top, about a third of the way down the first transverse support, but your crop off the left is as I would have done it.

What a great photo.
Both versions are very good. My preference is for the second one; the diminishing perspective is emphasised more with the lack of negative vignette and the greater contrast in the wood. If it were mine I would print it and hang it.

They're both beautiful images Rita. The first version provides a somewhat greater sense of isolation than the 2nd one does.
