A Journey through the Car Wash

Whether you like them or not, you've got to admit that, for me, they're different.

Earlier today I went out with my Lumix DMC-LX100. I was having work done in my house and just went out to pass some time. Then I thought that my car needed washed, so I headed for the car wash that I always use. As I started my journey through the wash, day dreaming, I suddenly saw lovely colours and patterns. So I grabbed the camera and started shooting. It was great fun.

It becomes really easy if you drink enough wine. Actually, you never get to the point that you're really standing on your head but that's what you think is happening.

I take my dog with me to the car wash and she barks like mad at the brushes as they are cleaning the outside of the windows.

Would've never recognized it for what it was, I was torn between metal and ice for the first image; nice job on the whites and the blues are electric.

Awesome shooting idea! I just might try this next time I go through the car wash. Our foamy stuff here is tri-colored and pastel. It could be interesting.

Thank you for the comments folks. I suppose the moral of the tale is to sometimes just play with the camera and have fun. You never know what might come out the other end.
