Techs look pretty good, Maurice. The third image is great for the action. They didn't do you any favors deciding to spar with that BG.

Isn't it illegal to shoot the Queen's deer?

Before Maurice gets in, the Queen hasn't had an interest in Killarney since around 1921! Though I do understand she quite likes Red Deer Stew

The last two are really good. Having spent a few hours recently trying to get captures of fallow deer, I can imagine these were not the easiest.

I reckon they would take a tighter crop which would increase the drama.

Very nice work, Maurice. Excellent captures. My favorite is #3 of the two bucks rutting.

James, Luck had a big part to play, I was walking with my wife and we happened on them.

Randy, it's more sparring, the rutting season ended a few weeks ago.
    Your comments very much appreciated.
    Thanks, Maurice.

Nice photographs. They look more like the Elk we have here.

Thanks for clarifying rutting vs sparring for me. There are many things I like about this forum, and one thing is the non-photographic knowledge I obtain about a wide range of topics from members like you who so readily share their expertise.

Agreed with the above comments. Very nice!

I also didn't know the deer spar outside rutting season.

Mike, in the rutting season they would really have at it. I wouldn't get that close, for health reasons.
