First nature picture 2017

As a real nice weather photographer it was a challenge to make this picture. I could not resist. Cold hands and feet, my face numb,still I took this picture near at my village.The sun went down when the air all blue colored, what a great moment.

It's a very nice photo and worth the suffering. It's these moments of tranquillity during sunrise or sunset that make landscape photography such a pleasure.

A pleasant scene worth the effort I'd say. Compositionally the horizon being centered as well as the tree being in the middle of frame is a bit awkward IMO. But I shoot critters so take it for what it's worth

I was thinking along similar lines but what could be changed?

The easy answer would be to crop the sky; however there is a nice grading from pale to very dark blue so I don't really want to suggest going that way. Possibly a little could be lost from the foreground while still retaining sufficient reeds and a similar amount from the left side?

I like it a lot Arnold Cropping only the dark blue part of the sky without losing all blues might give a more energetic composition.
