It was a "by product" of a shoot I did a while ago ... the moon was rising and the wind was blowing the clouds along at a fair rate of knots ... so I wondered how it'd look framed between the two trees.

It's not that unusual here Peter, nor is having the clouds going a different direction to the 'ground wind' blowing the trees. But knowing him, perhaps Colin did the trees from one exposure of many which he merged for the sky.

Come on Colin, 'spill the beans', tell all ...

Not so keen on that one. After looking for a while and trying to figure out why, what I end up with is the sense that because the moonlight is not having such an impact on the clouds at the left-hand edge (to the left of Rob's teddy bear - it must definitely be the medication he's on) and is not illuminating the strip of darker cloud between the two trees, what is created, at least in my tiny mind, is an idea that an unwanted halo effect is present.

I know it's not a post-processing artifact. It's about how far the reach of the moonlight extends. But it's how my brain is processing the information (maybe I just need some of Rob's pills).

I do like the lighting but the main problem for me is that there is no focal point so even as an abstract it does not quite work. My eyes have no settling point because the two trees are in conflict for my attention. If the moon were higher between the two trees it would have made a more compositionally balanced image (but then you would not have the same lighting effect). It is an unusual image and I find it difficult to dismiss it. I have to keep going back to make sure I haven't missed something.
