    In "captivity"

Went to January Skagit River Eagle fest this weekend. Love to learn about the birds.
This girl was injured, thus out of the wild. Cropped the guy holding her. Horrible gym lighting. Not a perfect composition or image, but I still think they are so beautiful. Sorry if inappropriate to post

You live right there amongst them. I know a couple of guys who get some amazing shots just by cruising the farm roads around La Conner. Also hawks, harriers and owls while they're at it.

Yes, see so many out here! Saw some Blue Herons the other day. Amazing. And of course the white fields in the winter from snow geese and trumpeter swans. Padilla Bay is my next go to I think. Skagit flats are also fantastic this time of year. Want to get out and find some owls. Maybe Washington Park here in town. We hear them in the forests. Would love it if the Snowy was here this year, but haven't heard. :-)

Nice detail. Such beautiful birds. It's awesome to see them in the wild, for example when they are flying over the water and grabbing fish right out - pretty amazing stuff!
