[QUOTE=Dave Humphries;653490]Hi Judith,
You're not downsizing correctly for my viewing conditions; for me (and many others I suspect) I'd like to see this after:...[QUOTE]
Thank you, as always, for providing specific help. I have made the adjustments you suggested for uploading and here is the result.

I can see a difference though I cannot describe it. Is this posting of the image less "soft?"
I appreciate that I cannot control the environment surrounding the viewing of an image but really want to learn how to give my work the best chance to be seen well.

The second rendition of winter garden looks better, sharper , with the tiny details of the vegitation more evident.

The first image is definitely not my genre of photography but simply as a viewer I like it for the patterns and colors. Nicely seen and captured.
The image for week 3 is also nicely seen. Nice composition and the green moss against the grey wood as well as the texture are interesting. Nicely done.

Thanks for commenting. There is such a variety of styles in Cambridge. I, too, often see images that make me say--"I would never do that image, but I find it interesting." I rarely do street photography and rarely include humans. But this year, as I do my monthly outing, I am challenging myself to include at least a few people shots.

Judith, your last two images in particular really capture the feeling the the places you're photographing. I can't quite put my finger in it but it's pretty impressive to take two fairly ordinary locations and really convey the feeling of being there. Excellent work!

Week #4, nicely composed however you have a some color tinging within the window frame; also the sharpening a bit too crunchy. Where was your focal point and was this image cropped?
