I missed your foosball shots, I like effort #138 for the composition and quality of capture.

Nice effort on the camellia, good detail although a bit hot and a bit of a blue color cast. Did you use flash, I would have expected a greenish cast shadow if done in natural light? I also see a bit of grey in the front edges of some of the petals, this suggests that the image had blown highlights and you were trying to recover some of the details.

I like the shot of the camellia on the dark surface! It stands out nicely - sharp - full of detail! It looks like it has fallen there and has been forgotten. Maybe it is hoping no one stomps on it.... (as if camellias can think and talk to themselves.... LOL).

No flash--Don't know why you would expect greenish tint--my experience is that images in shadow often are slightly blueish on a sunny day. The flower has fallen off the bush and is starting to deteriorate. That likely accounts for what you saw as grey edges. Post processing mostly cleaned off debris from the step and slightly saturated the color of the flower.

Thanks for looking. I really like camellias on the bush but in our rainy springs they so soon go brown and ugly. This one still retained its color after having fallen off the bush.

Week 13--Round

I sometimes pass by this stained glass shop. This week the reflections in this particular window were more interesting than usual and seemed to compliment the geometry. I still had to do some post processing to eliminate one interior light that interfered with the image I wanted.

Love the Camella pic. You captured it's delicate colour nicely.
