    Grey Heron, plus

Whilst crossing the public golf course in Perth today, heading towards the River Tay in the hope of seeing some Herons.
I came across this Heron on one of the fairways. Managed to get some shots off, before it disappeared into the distance.
As an aside, I seen a Kingfisher today, for the very first time, what a lovely brightly coloured bird.
I did manage one poor image of it.
Took the other images yesterday at my local pond.
    C&C welcome.

Nice shots. I especially like the Goosander. It is similar to Mergansers that we have over here.

Fabulous series of bird images. Each one better then the other. Cygnet my favourite.

Nice set Gary. I particularly like no.3. The first one might crop a bit more but not so much as to lose that feeling of space.

Those darn herons show up in the darndest places. But one constant is that they are always shy. Nos. 4 and 5 are excellent. Great detail and excellent BG on no.4.

I did see three other Herons that day, but they were at the other side of the river (100 meter or so).

Composition of an image is something I will have to work on.
