Great capture Graham, and excellent use of light.
It doesn't seem to matter where you view those temples from; either inside or outside, there is always at least one Buddha smiling down on you.
Another excellent opportunity seen and captured. Well done.
I'm jealous, Graham. My favourite travel spot in the world!
The Bayon Temple is also my favorite of all the temples in the Angkor area. This scene is a classic scene that you brought off very well to include displaying the texture in the foreground face.
Well captured Graham.
And that's from someone from Brissie!
Did you do sunrise over Angkor? I was lucky that we stayed in Siem Reap for 8 days and I managed 4 bites of the apple before getting what I wanted - cloud cover at dawn kept on scuppering me. Sitting by the reflecting pools with coffee and a seat provided by the locals, with the temple bells firing up at dawn, was awesome!
Great capture. I love how you placed the faces in this image...
Excellent light management.
That is one fantastic image, well thought out and executed.
Yeah we did the sunrise Phil and got fine weather with whispy clouds on the one and only morning we went. I was surprised how wet I was was with perspiration simply standing still beside my tripod at 5:30am waiting for the sun to rise. The 10,000 other tourists all felt the same no doubt. At least it felt and looked like 10,000. Very popular.
As for Brissie it's only 27c at 7:00am which is quite acceptable but a warmer 33c predicted for later today so not too bad.
