Morning Study

Taken not long after sunrise this Buddhist monk added an extra splash of colour to the ancient Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia.

That's a nice study Graham. The splash of colour in an almost monochrome background works brilliantly. My eye is drawn a bit by the pillar through the archway and I guess you might crop to just lose that (just the pillar, not the whole arch) but a very nice image.

I'll definitely do that John and see what it looks like. I've also noticed those bright white spots above the arch that will also need a little work.
This shot has already won a monthly comp in a national magazine so I guess the judges missed those things.
