I consider myself suitably chastised by those who perhaps have a different world view than I do.

But just as a footnote, my country voted 62% - 38% against Brexit and 3 million more people voted for Clinton than Trump. Aye, democracy's a fine thing indeed.

But the United Kingdom voted 51.9% (17,410,742 votes) to leave the European Union, against 48.1% (16,141,241 votes) who voted to remain. Is that not how democracy works?

Really, guys? On both Brexit and the recent US election whichever view you voice, there's a 50/50 chance that your audience has the opposite opinion. Isn't that just asking for trouble?

And the USA is a republic, not a democracy.

Besides which, I consider it a personal affront that it's going on two weeks and no one has offered congrats. GO TIGERS

To my mind, these crass comments have little to do with photography. Remember, those who voted against Brexit and Donald Trump are in the minority. And we all believe in democracy, yes?

It is odd that these comments grew from a tranquil scene in NZ, a place seemingly far removed from the recent events on both sides of the Atlantic. And it no doubt is better to keep out of politics on a website like this. But "crass" comments? I think that in the "crassness stakes" the comments aired on here have to be classed as absolute non-runners compared with a lot of what we've heard from politicians on both sides of "The Pond". And now I will shut up

My alma mater, the Clemson University Tigers, recently won the national championship in college football. And we're talking real football. You know, where the ball is carried and thrown with the hands, not kicked up and down the field with the feet. Like rugby with helmets.
