Very nice image can it be called a bridge, by definition? Just a doubt

Lovely capture... I might suggest darkening the sky just a TAD to accentuate the clouds and the brighten the trees seen under the bridge... again just a tad...

The figure at the end of the trail gives a proportion to the immense size of that natural bridge. With the trees and other shrubbery brightened, you can seen the figure better...

Yes, it is quite common to refer to geological structures like this as natural bridges

Very nice shot of an impressive structure and as Richard points it is good to have the humans for scale

Really like that one. To make it perfect I'd get rid of those two tiny people in the far background.

Thanks Werner, I understand your desire to remove the people as I once felt that way too. I have learned that adding people to your photos helps the viewer gain a connection with the location and in this case provide a sense of scale.

Gorgeous, beautiful and well executed. An image that's easy on the eye, really like the colours. Shows good editing skills.

Hey Sam! Hope everything is going your way man!

Awesome Natural Bridge sir! Love to see this sometime! Just took a boating run yesterday (had a nice day and the spot is close) where there is a bridge that can only be seen from its bottom from the river! It can be accessed from the top and that’s on private property. Sadly though, over the years a number of fatalities have occurred and the present property owners have strict restricted access. Liability and all.

Just a couple of thoughts Sam?

I wonder if the shot may have a tad too much sharpening? Reason I mention is because the foliage seems to look a bit “frosty”? And what caught my eye even before I looked at the foliage is there is a halo/aberration happening at the rear mouth of the bridge where the roof/sky meet sir. Kind of noticeable.

And I was wondering what you might think of a suggestion to maybe do a 10x8 crop and take some of frame right out and get the bridge opening out a bit more out of center? Maybe bet the concrete trail closer to the lower right bottom corner and cut out some of that bright bluff face? I put the right third splitting the couple just to check it out! Maybe darken the sky a bit more (still some clipping) and would deepen the color.

Anyway Sam cool shot of a very cool place! I’s love to see this during a rain event when the creek is ripping!

Since I'm not too deep into landscape photography I forgot about the principle of adding proportion to a picture by inserting
people into the composition. Thanks for reminding me.

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. First, I'd like to say that you're absolutely right about the sharpness. I've been having trouble with that lately.

Reflecting on this photo over the last week I realized a few things. The first is my usual error of not spending enough time perfecting everything before I took the shot...then spending a disproportionate time in PP trying to make something out of nothing. This picture was quickly taken during an outing with my family....hand-held etc. It was taken at f/7.1 where I believe f/11 and a tripod would have made a big difference.

In the update below I only used LR for PP whereas the other I used several other applications. I like it better and I learned a few thing thanks to your and other comments.

Hi Sam Although I prefer a crop , If the image was mine I would leave a bit more space on the RHS. I think you changed the WB a bit towards the blue side. IMO the warm colors of the original image look better.
