Two nice images Gary. You seem to be getting a lot of sun up there.

Couple of nice shots, Gary. People don't seem to have a very high opinion of them but they are beautiful birds. I like the pose and eye contact of the first one and the lighting, shooting angle, and water in the second.

Not really not as many as I would like, that's why they were taken on different days. So when the sun does make an appearance, I am out with the camera.

Well captured and they awakened memories as a lad of "moorhens' nesting" in deepest Berkshire, after moving there from London in '53. Eggs were smallish but quite tasty, IIRC.

I like both of these. The young Moorhen in #2 is not quite as photogenic as the adult, but it's pose is very attractive.
