Simone in the Dewy Bug Swamp, Paradise Michigan

This was taken about fifteen years ago on one of our Excellent Adventures in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
We were walking through a shallow swamp at sunrise trying to photograph Damsel Flies while they were still inactive from the cold.
I liked the way our friend Simone looked in the early morning light, and grabbed this shot.

The lens I used is an absolute stunner: it has ED glass so it's sharp as a tack, big, heavy, uses 95mm filters (!!!) and has a hood.
Rare as hen's teeth, because Nikon only made 1,500 of them before they ceased it's production and started making the much smaller and lighter first generation auto-focus version.
