What a beautiful little bird, Brian. Be careful shooting those birds. That can be a slippery slope...

Most fortunate and excellent capture of an exceptionally beautiful little bird Brian. Their habitat extends to about halfway down Cape York but few Aussies ever see one let alone get such a sharp shot.

Lucky you, to have a visitor like that, in the morning and waited to be photographed. Us poor mortals have to track for miles and still not get the shot. Beautiful bird and image.

I did take a look at lenses today. There are 9 or so species that visit our garden

So...beautiful; is it a little one that hatched out a few days earlier? How it remains so fearless? the straw appears suspended from nowhere...how come? Have you watched it eating some thing?
