New Pups

A friend of ours just had a litter of French Brittany Spaniel pups. They even cooperated for the camera. These dogs are apparently the smallest of the pointing breeds.

Thanks for the comments. Right before the two pups fell asleep on each other they were engaged in a wrestling match. It was hilarious.

I cropped the one of the one week old. I think the cropped version brings out the weathered look of the hands at the same time the gentle hold on the puppy.

Izzie, it's good to see you back. We are planning on getting one. My wife and I have not done so well with dogs lately. We lost our big guy last fall to a bowel obstruction and our female now has a recurrence of a bone cancer in her other leg. She's a three legged dog already so her prognosis is not good. She's pretty comfortable on low dose pain meds right now. We pick up the little one on March 6 which would have been Merlin's 10th birthday. Should be fun.

I am sorry about your 3-legged one. Cancer is very hard on a family member. I remember being awake for a few months taking care of our Tucker. That was two years ago now. We still misses him especially on our travels. We lost him to cutaneous lymphoma. It was hard for both me and Bill. You picked up the little one on March 6? Did you mean February 6? Hey....gotta have our Valentine Day first, don't you think???
