Crystal Ball photo at the park

    Hi Everybody,

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I've been busy making Trump photoshops for friends lately haha.

I finally got out with my camera yesterday and this is my favorite photo from the set. Let me know what you think or if you have photoshop questions.

Dare I say the image in the crystal ball is upside down. But it looks natural and better that way. Nice processing.

No I flip it right side up in Photoshop before I post it. You'll see that the creek is the bottom and the sky is the top

Yeah I know. It's upside down because it's right side up but as I commented it looks better rotated that way. Maybe even mirror it after rotating it so that the image in the ball is the same way around as the out of focus background.

Excellent image; someone else held the ball for you or you clicked it one handed?

No, sir. I hold the crystal ball with my left hand and shoot with my right. I've thought about setting it down somewhere interesting for future photos.

    Perhaps a golf tee.

Haha that might be hard to push into the ground on winter.

    Nice result.
I bought one few weeks ago, no time to really use it. May be I'll show my first experience in few weeks.

Thanks, Dave. Hey, how do you like your D7200? I have a D7100 and I don't think I'll need to upgrade anytime soon. Just curious as to your thoughts on it.

Zak, I had the D7100 for about a year then upgraded to the D7200. Not a big difference between the two. The D7200 has a little more buffer and slightly better low light performance and probably a few other minor things but to be honest as an amature hobbiest photographer I would have been fine with the D7100. I now have no plans to upgrade further unless I go mirrorless with the Sony A7RII.

By the way I just ordered a crystal ball thanks to you image.

What size crystal ball did you get? Mine is slightly larger than a hard ball. 85mm I believe
