Looks nice from a distance but an image like this makes you want to see much closer; the kingdom looks a bit soft. Any chance of a reshoot? What would you estimate as the size of the drop?
Good concept; well conceived
The size is about 2.5mm. A reshoot depends upon the continued presence of whatever is making the bubbles that the drop comes out of. I'll see what happens tomorrow.
Part of the challenge is that unlike a water drop this drop constantly grows and stretches. A shutter speed fast enough to be sharp would require flash
That is a crazy looking image, Brian. Viewing it inverted as presented is a bit of a mind bender
Spittlebugs produce "bubbles"/"foam" like that presented in your photo. I don't know, however, if those insects are found in the Philippines. The "foam" is produced by young spittlebugs, as they feed (usually) on the stem of a plant. I'm uncertain of the orientation of your image, but you would know its orientation and whether what I offer is plausable.
curious these small bubbles I thought in the first version it was soap!
Brian, crazy in a good way, a flash of genius which you get very often.
