is having issues uploading my files. I am perplexed as it always says upload failed to load. Started after the last "fix" iteration.

I succed for one picture on my thread, but impossible to upload the second one
I just successfully uploaded an image, so it seems to be working where I am.
It hasn't been working for about 12 hours on my end and still isn't working.
It seems to now have hit here too. It seemed somewhat humorous that Europe and North America was down and somehow, inexplicably India was working...
Normal for French we don't have our visa
still refused (not my visa but access to Tinypic)
IMO, the (relatively low) price of smugmug, com is well worth the cost. I never have problems posting images when I link them to smugmug...
It's not a matter of cost for me, Richard. It's a matter of convenience; I don't want to have to upload a photo to a separate website to be able to then provide a link to it here at CiC. I post a lot of photos here that I never post at my website.
Status update: It's no longer possible to browse my computer to select the image to be uploaded. So, even if the upload capability is finally working, I wouldn't know that because the browse capability that comes first is broken.
Hasn't been working here since 10:00am (Midnight UTC) yesterday and still isn't at 08:00 (22:00 UTC) still down.
Even going to Tinypic.com and trying to upload an image directly on their site only results in a "Could not open socket" message and no upload.
They don't seem to have a forum and you have to dig around a bit to find a Contact Us button so who knows if they're aware of the problem or even care????
There seems to be a problem with TinyPic's Varnish servers. Probably server misconfiguration.
Just wait a bit and the service should be restored back to normal, unless there is something extraordinary going on (like PhotoBucket/TinyPic went bankrupt or something ).

To each his or her own, but I'm with Richard on this one. If I recall, you don't use Lightroom, which changes the calculation slightly, but I find it extremely simple to post here using Smugmug.
I have my Smugmug site broken into four bins. One is the publicly visible stuff you can see if you look at my site. The second bin is what I have labeled "working images"--images that I don't think quite make the cut but that I want available. When I cull images from the first, they often go into the second. The third bin is entire galleries that are open to anyone who knows the links. I use these, for example, for events and for family photos. The fourth bin is galleries that no one but me can access. One of this is called "test images." That is where I dump stuff that I won't want long term or that I haven't decided about. Many of the images I post here are initially in that hidden directory. If I decide that they are worth showing, I just move them to a public gallery, which takes almost no work.
To post here, I select an image, click on the share icon, pick a size from the drop-down menu, and copy the link it gives me, which I then paste into the post here.
What makes it even simpler is that there is a free Lightroom plugin that exports directly into Smugmug. It lets me choose which directory I want, and one choice is "export with previous."

10:45 (00:45) and Tinypic's back working..... for me at least.

Now ah can't upload a public link from Dropbox. Ye have tae click on the above links tae see the images. Tinypic is still down. It's not unusual when it fails, for it tae be off for several hours.
No it isn't. Uploaded 2 images then back into failure mode.

Dan,
I contend that the main reason you find it simple to post here using Smugmug links is because doing so seems to be a natural fit with your workflow devised primarily for the other reasons you explained. I could also use a similar process using my software (you are correct that I never use Lightroom's cataloging capabilities). However, to do so would require that I change my workflow for the sole purpose of displaying images at CiC without using Tiny Pic. That doesn't make any sense to me, especially considering that one of the reasons I began posting here about five years ago is because of Tiny Pic's capabilities.
Mike,
I'm sure you're right; the best software is often whatever one is used to.

The warning box from my earlier post is now showing as the photo I uploaded so I'm guessing al is now well?
