ID of prey item?
Can anyone ID this Kestrels prey? Its green, appears to have 4 legs towards the front and pale stripes on the belly.Large Grasshopper of some sort? Taken last summer at Newquay in Cornwall.

Agree on quality of image, usually with specimen id location of capture helps.

My guess would be grasshopper/cricket of some type.

From the size of the insect, I would say it is a Great Green Bush-cricket Tettigonia viridissima. It is difficult to tell because the Kestrel is holding the back end and you cannot see the antennae (which are very long in bush-crickets).
