Hi All:
Are there any CiC members in Tasmania or members who have visited there? My wife and I are considering a trip down there in 2018 after a week in NZ South Island. I'm wondering about type of photo ops, locations, weather, etc.

I think Izzie's son lives in Tasmania and she travels there every year.
Thanks, Dan!
What time of the year?
How long do you have?
Will you have a car to drive?
Are you a trekker?
The scenery is magnificent. I have driven up and down the east coast and across the top twice, once in winter and once in summer and across the center several times
My key points of interest, if you are interested in Landscape Photography:
Coles Bay
Freycinet National Park
Strickland Falls
Cradle Mountain National Park
Mt. Wellington

Thanks for getting back to me, Bill. Very nice photos.
If we go it will be in Dec '17 or Jan-Feb '18. Probably for a week. Thinking of a week in NZ South Island and a week in Tasmania. Too old for trekking. Can rent a car or sign up for tours.
Correction: My son lives in Melbourne. He takes care of my house in Sandringham located across Port Philip Bay. He has been to Tassie and so have I. We visited the rainforest in Tarkine. Sorry for the late reply. I am having problems with my fingers called old age. We slipped by Tarkine after my son finished his work week at Hobart for the company he works for in Melbourne. It has been a long time ago since I visited. Sorry.
