This is a fairly typical street scene that I have run into in many places in India; curbside vegetable sellers. The main difference I noticed in the far north, in the Himalayas, reflects local reality at this time of year. With the short growing season in the summer, and it being in the middle of the winter, root vegetables are the mainstay in the local dishes.
The image was taken in the downtown shopping area of the town of Leh, Ladakh, India.
