    It's a bit small

Not a lot of Showy fungi fruiting bodies around at the moment so time to go macro - a Slime Mold, Trichia decipiens in amongst moss on deadwood. The orange fruiting bodies are circa 1mm in size.A fascinating life form - when animal and plant split apart in evolutionary terms shortly after that fungi split off from the animal branch and slime molds split of from that branch - they are animate and move around to seek and in reality hunt food so they are closer to animal than fungi or plants. this makes a good read if interested - https://universe-review.ca/R10-18-slimemoulds.htm

and so the upload fails - needless to say the 2nd image would have shown a close up of the sporing bodies, these images can be found in images all over the internet anyway if interested.

Interesting image and information. I find the grouping of orange balls lower right interesting because you can easily see how they are attached and hanging.

Interesting shot. I'd be tempted to have a 4*5 crop to cut out the oof items at the top and bottom of the image and draw more attention to the 'berries'

Cheers Dave, appreciated - I was tempted to put this under 'pets' as I know a few people who keep them to study them and refer to them as pets !

Kaye, that was image #2 but I was not able to upload it

No, I think that the oof Moss at the top and bottom provide context. They emphasise that these critters need moisture until they are really ripe.

    Well spotted Mark.

They look like fish eggs...I wonder how scary it is to be in this kind of atmosphere never really knowing whether you are at the top or the bottom of the food chain? Sorry...my imagination is getting fertile again -- I better go back to bed and making an excuse that what is in front of me is my breakfast...

Love the thought Izzie, they are in deed 'eggs' but have the ability to spore thousands of identical replications of itself, it must indeed be scary at this level - slime molds have been proven to actively hunt their food - mainly bacteria and things like that - but its just a matter of scale, lion - gazelle, slime - bacteria

Go for it Brian, they are fascinating,
    Thanks Dan, appreciated
Cheers John, its kind of why I love macro, to the naked eye they were just pinhead bits of colour - when you get this close you see the beauty and detail in things that are otherwise ignored or dismissed as we simply cant see them properly without the help of tech.
