    Microsoft Sway

I just came across Microsoft Sway and wonder if anyone on CiC is using this program.

I would like to create short 1-3 minute stories on some of our dogs. This would serve two functions: to advertise the dogs with an aim of getting them adopted and to solicit donations for "special needs" dogs, some of whom require expensive surgery.

I want a simple and quick fix. I really don't have the time to get into any complicated editing and I really don't need that capability. I am not going to try to reinvent "Gone With The Wind" simply have a showcase for some of our dogs into which I can place video clips, stills, narrative and also a way to have prople contact us to help or donate.

Sway is free and that worries me! Often free programs come with "fellow-travelers" accompanying them which do strange things to a computer.

If you already have Windows 10 or the Microsoft Office Suite I can't see that Sway is going to do anything else to your computer that isn't already being done. The question is how much do you trust Microsoft? For me the answer is "much more than either Google or Apple".

Sway is a nice little program. It has its limitations but it does what it does very well. As long as you don't expect too much from it it should serve you well. The reason I remember your above post is that at the time I remember thinking, "He should have really taken a look at that. It could serve him well with the rescue dogs."
