    Loving the moment

Our Yellow Lab Zale enjoying the moment in the flowers after our hike up Mount Dickerman this summer

Of course not a perfect focused image, but I still love his expression. It's how I feel out in the woods/mountains as well.

Given that they are now 10 years old (he and his littermate sister), I doubt we will be doing these types of hikes with them this summer. Sad fact of aging beautiful dogs.

    Loving the moment

    Thanks for looking

Thank you. Makes me cry, as I know these days are over. Still very vibrant dogs, but not 9 miles and 3800 feet up dogs any longer (in their minds yes, in their joints no) ...

Thanks and agree. I've also somehow lost the original and thus don't have the raw file. This one has kind of been beat to death, so not an appropriate post for this site but... I haven't been banned yet 😀

    Re: Loving the moment

We lost a rottweiler we loved very much over two years ago. We still grieve for him from time to time. I have his collar at the corner of my laptop and my husband has his chain at the corner of his monitor. We have a girlie dog now, an Aussie heeler and a male corgi but they are different. They can't sing at 9pm.

Your image will be a very precious shot to me. I would have titled that "smelling the flowers" instead because it looks like that was what your dog is doing there. Cherish the time you have to spare (and more) with your dog. Arthritis can be cured with exercise and moving the joints, in short, walking is the best cure for that and of course some form of glucosamin. At least it is not cancer. It hurts if it is.....

    Re: Loving the moment

Our daughter has a 13 year old Lab who has arthritis and also needed some very complicated back surgery.

Our vet recommended Dasuquinn for her joints and it seems to have helped her quite a bit. Of course, they have cut down on strenuous exercise...

    https://www.chewy.com/s?dept=all&que...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds

We have a mixed breed of indeterminate age (12-14 years old) who began favoring his right front leg.

We put him on Dasuquinn and it has also seemed to help him.

Our vet stated that the Dasuquinn can be used as a preventative for older dogs, even before they begin to show any joint problems. My Goldendoodle is scheduled to begin Dasuquinn in December when she reaches 10-years old...

BTW: We have found that Chewy's is a great site for any of our dogs needs. They ship quickly and the prices usually cannot be beaten. (I have no connection with this company except as a satisfied customer).

Sampling the air ...getting a snoutful. They live through their noses don't they? TFS it.
