Roll of sliced ham
Smoked ham as it came out of the package except that I rolled it, which is how I commonly eat it when I want a quick snack of finger food.
Setup
Tabletop is red, textured art paper and the background is black foam core. A small continuous-light lamp on the right side was fitted with a flag to prevent light from falling onto the background. A flash light on the left shined light through the translucent area of the meat. A polarizer controlled glare, though notice that it didn't eliminate it.

Re: Roll of sliced ham
Mike, you make cold cuts look good. I just spent 2 hours with a tomato and a slice of kiwi and it looks like bologna! ☹️

Re: Roll of sliced ham
Definitely fits as an example of abstract art, I would have pegged it for something aquatic.

Re: Roll of sliced ham
I make my own ham, Mike...with Ajinomoto Activa Transglutaminase AKA Meat Glue...then cooked it in my sous-vide cooker. This is a nice depiction of a slice but I am thinking more of something else that resembles it. Nice shot.
