Robber Fly
Got around to developing this image from 2015, a Robber Fly resting patiently on a leaf waiting for prey to come close enough to pounce.

Re: Robber Fly
Fantastic Mark. I hope to take a macro shot that well someday. Perhaps you can help me identify what I think is a robber fly in the not so distant future? The palette of your shot is beautiful as well.

Re: Robber Fly
Cheers John,
Thanks Susan, I can always try to help ID things, there are others here in the forum more skilled in that who will also help. I was lucky to get it at the right angle for the background often not the case !

Re: Robber Fly
Mark...I think I like the empty space in the composition. It sort of dwarf your robber fly and make it more prominent. Good job with the colour combination too...

Re: Robber Fly
You certainly did get the right angle. Isn't that the truth - it's often the make or break and definitely not easy to do.
