Russell Market is about a 10 minute walk from where we are staying in Bangalore and we head out and visit it at least two or three times a week. I had tried to photograph there last year when we were here, but the relatively poor low light performance and relatively slow lens I had made it difficult in the very dark shooting environment; generally most of the light comes from small and dirty windows, supplemented by a bit of artificial light in a few places. I had the D800 and the Nikkor f/2.8 24-70mm lens along this time and found it to be a much better match for this type of photography
We stopped at these four different vendors. All were aware that I was shooting them; some made eye contact while others went on with what they were doing.
