Tenaya Lake Worshipper
I am not renowned for my people pics. But when I spent almost a month in and around Yosemite National Park in September 2016, I had a wee side project on the go that I called 'People and the Park'.
Interestingly (and it's a sign I think that people pics really don't hold my attention), I've been a bit reluctant to get in amongst the images to process them. I'm not really finding it exciting or a great challenge, the way I do with landscapes.
Anyway ..... I spent a whole day on the shores of Tenaya Lake and my landscapes from there have already been posted here. But as I just sat around, some interesting people passed by my way. One young couple started doing their yoga exercises (more to follow) before the young lady got into her swimming gear and took to the lake. Once in there she seemed to be communicating to some deity.
Any and all comments and critiques welcomed.

You're right Donald, we don't see a lot of people pictures from you, but this is a nice start. Perhaps it is time to get out of your comfort zone and work on people as well as landscapes?
What I like is the simplicity of the scene, but the heavy duty vignette is not working at all for me and I don't think you can get away with as much background as you can in your landscape work.

Nicely done, the vignette could also suggest some dreaded event about to happen; either she's viewing it or she is unaware that it is approaching from behind.

Donald, a bit different. I like the heavy vignette. I would lop 75mm off the top though. That is only my opinion.
Cheers Ole

A different approach, Donald. Not bad for someone who is not a people shooter. 'Fact is, it is really good.
