Nicely done.
Alan, I would have said that the uneven lighting was a flaw, but one thing I remember learning about quilt making is that certain makers used to make deliberate mistakes out of deference to God, who alone was supposed to be capable of making perfect things. I always thought that was a rather patronizing attitude to take towards God, but there you go. Respect to your wife from a fellow lover of textiles.

Very nice, a little crop to get rid of the fringes left, right, and at the bottom would make it perfect.
I really like this image; congrats to you and your wife
Thank you all for the kind comments. The uneven lighting is due to the fact the quilt isn't laying perfectly flat against the wall. I thought about hanging some weights at the bottom, but since it is only held by small push pins I thought better of that. There is a window just to the left of it and that is why there's a bright spot at the lower left corner. As for the cropping, I was trying to get as much of the edge binding as possible without a lot of wall showing. My wife prints small pictures of this type of shot for her scrap book. If it hadn't been so damp and breezy outside I would have hung it outside on my setup with the background. We've had quite a bit of rain here the last couple of weeks and the yard is greening up but is still muddy in places. Too risky for a new quilt.
Thanks for the explanation on the lighting imperfect as it might be, the design is simple and colourful. I admire thw work of your wife. She can thank you for showing her art to the world.
