    Model Railroad Museum

My camera club arranged entrance to the San Diego Model Railroad Museum two hours before the normal opening. We could use tripods and they took down the Plexiglas barriers between the exhibits and the spectators. It was lots of fun. I didn't care much about the trains but I loved the scenery...

Here are just a few images...

This is what the city layout looked like. You can see why, during normal open hours, that tripods would be a hazard...

Nice series Richard, IMO you should reduce the highlights and/or increase the contrast. Or maybe it's a problem of WB or vibrancy?

    Re: Model Railroad Museum

Walter Otto Koernig (he always goes by the three names) is the president of our camera club. He arranges some wonderful shoots in which we have access to places in which the general group of photographers do not have access to. A good example of this was the Model Railroad Club in which we were allowed in two hours before it opened. The club hosts removed the Plexiglas safty shields from between the viewing area and the layout itself.

We don't have formal meetings but, we post our photos on the club website. It is nice to see how other folks interpreted the shoot.

Doing as much rescue as I do, I don't have time to attend all of the club shoots. However, I really enjoy the ones that I do attend...

I could easily attend a shoot each week if I had the time....
