More Russell Market vendors

I took a few shots of some of the vendors we bought things from who are located in the Russell Market area, but sell their wares outside of the main market building. Russell Market is in downtown Bangalore, India. All three people were aware that I was shooting them and all three reacted a bit differently

1. The lemon lady - I shot her last year while we were in Bangalore, an she is still working in the same spot. We picked up a dozen lemons to make ice tea. It's almost time for a trip back as we are down to our last two lemons...





2. The pineapple lady - we have been buying pineapples from her quite regularly and she seems to be charging us the same price as the locals. This time she was out of pineapples, but was happy to pose for me anyways.





3. No pineapples meant we picked up a watermelon instead. For some reason we were going to get one in a plastic bag. Bagging a watermelon is not as easy as it seems... The vendor is Muslim and the white clothing and cap are typical of what they wear.

Thanks John - I had already cropped out most of the lemons; but that's no reason not to crop more out. This woman literally sits against a wall and is surrounded by lemons on all sides.

This crop certainly focuses the portrait more clearly on her face. But I'm curious about all the lemons I can't see!

Manfred, it is many years since we last visited India. We are going back sometimes soon. These pictures bring back memories.
