As luck would have it, a Grey Heron.

Yesterday I went to the riverside in Perth with the hope of seeing a Kingfisher, which has been spotted on the banks of the river Tay.
Imagine my surprise when I came across, this very compliant Grey Heron with an added bonus it was standing in a ray of sunshine.
    C&C welcome.

All are very nice; last one is the best, since it has the best balanced lighting

Smart bird! I'd stand in a ray of sunshine too if there was one available. <sigh>

Good series! I like how the pics are set up in #2 and #4. #2 has reflection from the water adding interest and #4 has a mix of dark and light! All crisp and sharp. Well done in my estimation!

Great series! I like #4 best. The highlights in the throat seem to be blown out in #1 and #3 though.

    +1 on that.

Nice set. Very shy birds in my experience and so you have done well. No. 4 for me is the standout.

    Thanks Nandakumar.
#4 was one of the first images I captured, when the light was all on the Heron.

Thanks for looking and commenting John.
I will see if I can do something in PS to retrieve the highlights in #1 and #3

    Thanks John.
The Heron did not seem bothered by me. It stayed a total of 50 minutes at three separate locations, all within ten meters of each other. Needless to say I took full advantage of this opportunity, and took plenty of images.

All nice images Gary IMO the highlights need reducing in 1,2, and 3. Good exposure in the last image.

    Thanks Binnur.
I reduced the highlights in PS and they look better.
