I seem to remember someone mentioning that the CamFi wireless tethered system can't be used with their Sony camera. CamFi recently added support of some Sony cameras. Unfortunately, the lowest spec Sony listed is just a couple of models above my A55. I would guess they added some feature to these (WiFi?) that mine does not have.

You're correct, John, that the CamFi system creates its own Wi-Fi network for use when controlling the camera from an external device and when transmitting captured images to that device.
