Cow and Calf - three flies left

I felt spring a little working on these cows today. I left only three of those bothersome flies on them. There were A LOT of flies.

Thanks Mike. This was my first cow shot ;-) ..since then I haven't had much luck in getting any cow to do anything other than saunter off.

If you can catch their attention, while they are wondering what sort of creature you are, it is possible to get some nice shots like these. But they soon lose interest and return to more interesting things like munching grass.

Very nicely juxstaposed, Susan. Also there is a certain feeling about it, perhaps "Don't mess with us!" I think that the angle of the calf's back gives a certain drama to the image.
