Love it! Antiques.
They must be fake, behind bullet-proof glas.
Why am I reminded of the "Men In Black" films?
Hi Mike I would crop the half boxes on the LHS and RHS for a better look. But at the same time I'm thinking that there might be a reason for you to leave the half boxes in the image as you are knowledgeable about composition rules in photography
Been a long time.
Thanks, everyone!
The captured image actually includes the entire sets for the phones at the ends and I cropped them to give the image a less static look. This technique also implies for me that the viewer never knows how many more phones might be on the wall, whereas displaying the entire set more or less (probably less?) implies that all of the phones on the wall are displayed in the photo. Just my way of looking at this issue and not at all a guideline I've seen expressed anywhere.
I didn't think that pay phones even existed anymore. Nice shot by the way.
I just knew you did it on purpose! ....referring to the cropping of the image
and one for a wheelchairs occupant.
It might be interesting to some to learn about the exposure technique I used that I very rarely have reason to use. I wanted to capture the bank of phones on the wall, which meant also capturing other areas of the scene that would be excluded when I cropped the image. Those excluded areas included bright lights. Fortunately, my camera displays the histogram of the area being viewed in the camera's LCD whether the entire image or only part of it is displayed. When I magnified the display to exclude the bright lights, I verified that the histogram of the displayed area was appropriate. If it had not been appropriate, I would have adjusted the exposure and captured the scene again.
