Several years of watching Herons nest building have shown me that just because you bring her a stick it doesn't mean that it will fit exactly where she wants.

There are times I really have to admire birds.
I mean, they don't have any hands and are pretty limited, for the most part, with what they can do with their feet. And yet they build nests, usually up in trees, but not always, and raise their young there.
Very nice picture, and I wonder how hard it was to pull that stick out of the mud. You can see by the water mark it was in pretty deep.
