Super; really liked it. Another possibility is to trim away half the bottom part to get a nearly panoramic frame; not a substitute for this, but just another variation

Thank you both. I don't normally use a p&s, but sometime, I just don't feel like bringing a full on dslr. Wavelength, I will play with that, but I fear much of what I really like, the foreground contrast, will be lost. Maybe crop off a third or so. I'll play around with it.
