My next lighting equipment?

I would expect to see this lamp at a seashore perhaps known for a nearby lighthouse. Imagine my surprise when I walked into our room at a lodge in the middle of the rain forest at Guatemala's Tikal National Park.

Ironically, there were so few times electricity was available that I never saw the lamp turned on. We had electricity 24 hours per day that powered the ceiling's combination lamp and fan but all other electrical devices and outlets were powered only during limited hours when we typically weren't in our room.
